can I use a i1 Display colorimeter?

 I have a i1 colorimeter that I got in a package from X-Rite. Can I use PerfectLum with this sensor? Answer: Yes. You can use X-Rite i1 Display sensors. Also those in the Gretag MacBeth package.

How do I install PrefectLum 3?

 Answer: Just double click the icon and follow the wizard. More info you can read in PerfectLum 3 manual.

I´m getting an error message “sensor not found”

 Answer: Verify if the sensor is connected correctly to the machine. And verify if the USB port is active. Eventually change the port to test. Reboot the computer and if still you are getting the error message see here for help on sensor installation.

After installation. Do I have to reboot ?

 Answer: It is not needed, but can be helpful for driver installation of the measurement device.

I have 2 displays connected to my workstation and I want to calibrate display 2. I selected display 2 for reboot and I see the patches and measurements on display 2, but the correction is applied on display 1.

 Answer: Verify if your graphic card has a LUT and if it has 2 different LUT´s for Display 1 and Display 2. Eventually change the graphic card or add a 2nd graphic card (on PCI bus for example) to connect the 2nd display.

I´m getting an error message “LUT upload failed” during the calibration process.

 Answer: Verify if the graphic card you are using has a LUT (Look Up Table). If you are using a laptop with a 2nd display connected you may not be able to calibrate the external display as laptop graphic card do have in general only one LUT. In this case select the external display as singlemore

I have registered the software online and got a registration code. This code I have put into the registration window of the application and I get a feedback from the software “thank you for registering the product”. But when I relaunch the software it ask me again for the registration code.

 Answer: Make sure that you have Administrator rights when you type the registration code. Only then the registration is saved on your machine.

Is it possible to disable the automatic updates of the PerfectLum 3?

 Answer: Yes, please go to the preferences (Ctrl+P on windows or Function+P on mac) and uncheck the “Update software automatically” in Application tab.

I have entered the registration code with administrator rights and I keep getting the registration page when I open the application

 Answer: This problem was identified and fixed in all future versions.

I´m getting an error message during installation. The installation failed.

 Answer: Please download the installer from this site then install again PerfectLum 3.

I am using the trial version of the PerfectLum 3 software. It loads fine. I have a station using 2 video cards. Card 1 runs color monitor, card 2 has 2 3MP gray scale monitors. When I select either of the gray scale monitors and run calibration I get on error about unable to load LUT file. I am able to run it on color monitor on the first card. Any ideas? Thanks.

 Answer: Your problem was related to the Realvision board. This was fixed. Please advice if you need any assistance. Thanks and regards.
